Switzerland’s fourth largest city and capital of the Vaud canton, Lausanne stands on three hills overlooking Lake Geneva. It offers a magnificent natural setting and has a charming historic centre where shopping is a real pleasure.

The terraced vineyards of Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a fascinating place to visit. A great way to take in the beauty of the area is to take a paddle steamer across Lake Geneva in the direction of the famous Château de ChillonTM. The modern and Belle Époque CGN boats will also take you from Ouchy to Evian-les-Bains. From Nyon, you can take a boat to the medieval village of Yvoire.
Culture enthusiasts should go on a trip to Martigny, where the Gianadda Foundation always puts on stunning art exhibitions. Children enjoy rides with the MOB GoldenPass panoramic train, and the many amusement parks in the area are sure to make their holidays unforgettable.
